The Philadelphia 76ers have another injury concern after Jabari Walker left their 127-116 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. The forward went to the locker room in the third quarter and did not return, leaving his availability for Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons in doubt. Coach Nick Nurse said Walker had hurt his knee but did not share how long he might be out. There was also some confusion about which knee was injured. Nurse first said it was the left knee, but reporter Chris Hine later reported that the team had clarified it was the right knee. The 76ers are waiting for the results of Walker's evaluation.

Nick Nurse Shares Update On Jabari Walker's Injury

Walker appeared to be in pain as he made his way toward the locker room. However, he turned back to take two free throws before leaving the game.

Nurse gave a short update after the win, saying, “He tweaked his left knee, so that's that's it. We're going to check him out.”

The broadcast crew also praised Walker for pushing through the moment to take his free throws.

“It was one of the things that won us all over last year, he got that toughness and grit that we love here in Philly.”

The team has not given a clear timeline for Walker's return. His condition is worth watching as Philadelphia prepares for another game less than 24 hours after facing Milwaukee.

The 76ers are already dealing with other injuries. Ariel Hukporti is out for the season with a ruptured right Achilles tendon. Tacko Fall is also sidelined with a left quadriceps strain and has yet to play this season after missing the preseason.

Joel Embiid Leads Philadelphia 76ers To Win As Detroit Game Approaches

While Walker's injury was a concern, Philadelphia had plenty to celebrate after beating Milwaukee. Joel Embiid finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists to record a triple-double and help the 76ers remain unbeaten.

Embiid could also be a player to watch ahead of Sunday's game against Detroit. When asked whether he would play in the second game of the back-to-back, he made it clear that he wanted to take the court.

“I have no idea. I actually want to play tomorrow, so can you guys put pressure on them?” Embiid jokingly said to add pressure to the team when asked about the possibility of facing Detroit. “I think, I don't know, you don't have to ask them, but obviously you get three days off. Could have been two, but you get three days off, but it doesn't really matter. It's all about, you know, the beginning of the season. It's going well, so I guess the more time you can get to recover the better, and then you get used to it. But yeah, I want to play tomorrow, so stop writing articles, put pressure on them, so they let me play.”

The 76ers will need to assess Walker before deciding whether he can play against Detroit. Embiid's availability for the game also remains to be confirmed.
