The weather bureau warned of minimal to minor threats to life and property from strong winds in areas under Wind Signal No. 1.

It added that the highest wind signal that may be raised during Rosal’s passage is Wind Signal No. 2 or 3.

Rosal is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility either Friday morning or afternoon.

Pagasa further reported that the northeasterly wind flow and the periphery of Rosal may bring strong to gale-force gusts of wind over Batanes, Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, Isabela, Polillo Islands, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Catanduanes, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, most of Caraga, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Sarangani, Davao del Sur, and Davao Occidental on Tuesday. /mr
