Final Fantasy 10 Officially Returns October 2026 With New Anniversary Release

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy 10, one of the most beloved entries in the long-running JRPG series. The story of Tidus and Yuna has resonated with fans for over two decades, and Square Enix is celebrating with a number of new releases, including the FF10/X-2 remaster on Switch 2 and a ton of merchandise arriving throughout 2026.

Now, there's yet another anniversary item for fans and collectors to grab. Dropping in October, it's currently available for preorder over on the official Square Enix store. If you're buying the new item from North America, then you can actually purchase it already, but fans in the UK will need to wait a couple more weeks. The item in question is a new Yuna plush, a part of the Wave 2 releases in the Final Fantasy 10 Plush series.

The new Yuna plush is priced at $44.99 (around the same in the UK), and it's around W 5.51 in × D 5.12 in × H 7.48 in, which is honestly a pretty standard size for a plush. The full description of the item reads:

Showcasing large two-toned embroidered eyes and features details brought to life straight from his in-game attire. Complete your FINAL FANTASY X collection with this adorable plush!

The photos show Yuna on her own, as well as sitting with the matching Tidus plush. The other FF10 plushes are sold separately, but one can only assume the entire party will be up for grabs eventually. If you've been a longtime fan of Final Fantasy 10, then this is a cute way to show your appreciation for the game. And since it's the 25th anniversary, these plushes are only a fraction of what Square Enix is offering in 2026.

It's A Great Time To Be A Final Fantasy 10 Fan

A vinyl LP set called Eternal Calm has been released, as well as several official shirts and apparel items. A special movie, which you can view above, was also released to celebrate the game's 25th anniversary. Outside of Square Enix merch, FF10 has also gotten a special Magic: The Gathering set and the Switch 2 remaster of Final Fantasy 10 and FF10-2 is available now.

Sadly, there's still no news of an FF10-3, even if fans have been asking for a third entry for well over a decade now. Regardless, with all of these new releases, it's a great time to be a fan of Final Fantasy 10. Maybe there will be more surprises in store before the year is up.
