Taoyuan City Pingzhen and Yangmei to experience a 22-hour water suspension on August 18, affecting approximately 10,000 households across 17 neighborhoods

In coordination with the pipeline replacement project of the Taiwan Water Corporation's Second District Management Office, a total of 17 neighborhoods in Pingzhen and Yangmei Districts, Taoyuan City, will experience a 22-hour water outage starting at 8:00 AM on August 18, affecting an estimated 10,000 households. The Taoyuan City Government's Department of Economic Development reminds users in the affected areas to store water 6 hours in advance to avoid a surge in demand right before the outage, which could leave users at the end of the pipeline without water.

The water outage area includes 11 neighborhoods in Pingzhen District: Songwu, Pingnan, Ping'an, Pingzhen, Guangren, Xingui, Yongguang, Yongan, Yongfeng, Jinxing, and Zhenxing; and 6 neighborhoods in Yangmei District: Renmei, Guanghua, Siwei, Puxin, Ruiping, and Jinlong. The outage will last for 22 hours, from 8:00 AM on August 18 to 6:00 AM on August 19.

The Department of Economic Development stated that during the water outage, residents should turn off their water pumps to prevent fire hazards. After water supply is restored, if there is still no water, residents can notify the Taiwan Water Corporation or the Department of Economic Development for assistance.
