Tiffany Stratton's Money in the Bank cash-in on WWE SmackDown went sideways when she appeared to forget her next move. Referee Daphanie LaShaunn had to step in and guide the former Women's Champion during the segment with Liv Morgan. Stratton came out to help Chelsea Green and IYO SKY after Morgan and her Judgment Day teammates attacked them. She went after Morgan and tried to cash in, but the planned moment didn't run smooth. Raquel Rodriguez helped Morgan escape, so Stratton ended up without a title shot and still holding her briefcase.

Am I tripping or did Daphanie tell Tiffy to hit Liv ???? https://t.co/TrBS7KqE73

Tiffany Stratton Needed Referee Daphanie LaShaunn's Help During the Failed Cash-In

It started after Chelsea Green beat Roxanne Perez in a Women's Championship match. The contest was competitive, but Raquel Rodriguez interfered while the referee was distracted and attacked Green. IYO SKY rushed out to help Green fight back against The Judgment Day.

Once the match ended, Morgan and her teammates went three-on-two on Green and SKY. Stratton arrived to help the two women, then turned to Morgan and tried to use her Money in the Bank contract.

That's where it got messy. Stratton seemed to forget the sequence, and referee Daphanie LaShaunn had to tell her what to do next. Daphanie told Stratton to hit Morgan with the briefcase, but the cash-in still failed because Rodriguez got Morgan away. The whole thing looked confusing and out of sync, and a fan later shared a clip of the moment on X showing the apparent mix-up.

Even after the botched sequence, Stratton didn't lose her Money in the Bank contract. The official title match never began, so she still has the briefcase and can try another cash-in later.

Chelsea Green Confirmed Stratton's Cash-In Plan After Her SmackDown Title Defense

Green thanked SKY and Stratton later in a backstage segment after retaining her championship. She admitted Stratton showing up had caught her off guard, saying, “Tiffy, I did not know you were coming tonight. You never told me, but I knew those blue cheese-stuffed olives would definitely heal you.”

Green also thanked SKY for stepping in and described their connection as the start of “a really beautiful friendship.” Stratton then confirmed she meant to cash in on Morgan, so the failed attempt was part of her plans all along.

Green is scheduled to face Morgan in a Champion vs. Champion match at Crown Jewel on November 7. She's also set to defend her title against Nikki Bella on SmackDown.
