- U.S. medical technology company Becton Dickinson (BDX) has agreed to invest $3B to bring the manufacturing of essential medical products to the United States, President Donald Trump said Monday in a post on Truth Social.
- BD will invest more than $1B in Nebraska to ramp up production of numerous products, including needles made with American steel, Trump said.
- “The reason for BD’s announcement is my strong Medical Device TARIFFS, which will be in place by the end of the year,” Trump added.
- BDX shares closed 2.2% higher on Monday.
