Take Me Out was the ultimate matchmaking show, driven by host Paddy McGuinness' memorable catchphrases and the chaotic entrances of its contestants.

It ran from 2010 until 2019 and saw 30 single women turn their lights on or off for each male contestant.

Fans will remember the show most for Paddy's iconic 'no likey, no lighty' phrase and the cringeworthy first impressions from the male contestants.

There have been a surprising amount of success stories after finding love on the 'Isle of Fernando' – Tenerife – leading to marriage and children.

Another unforgettable moment was when TOWIE star James Argent appeared on the show when his sister Natasha was one of the contestants.

This week, it was revealed the show is poised to return seven years after the dating show was axed – with Emily Atack or Olivia Attwood at the helm.

Producers are said to be replacing Paddy with a 'glamorous female' to front the programme.

A source revealed: 'Execs at Fremantle, the production company behind the reboot, want to ensure it has the same cheeky tone as the original.

'Emily and Olivia's quick wit and timing make them favourites and Maya Jama was also considered perfect, but her links to Love Island make that tricky.'

They told The Sun: 'Plans are in development now and talks are underway with streamers including Netflix but the landscape of TV is ever-changing, so the reboot could take a number of forms.'

While Paddy won't be returning to Take Me Out, he is currently being kept busy with plans for his new YouTube channel, which will chronicle his fitness journey.

TOWIE star James 'Arg' Argent left his sister mortified when he came down the Love Lift on Take Me Out celebrity special back in 2017.

His sister Natasha was one of the 30 girls hoping to find love until she saw her brother alongside host Paddy.

Natasha was left open-mouthed at the time and rushed to turn off her light after noticing the single man was in fact her brother.

As Paddy burst into peals of laughter at the incident, Arg quipped: 'There's no way I'm going Fernandos with my sister!'

Natasha then told the cheeky host: 'I am in shock. I was looking down and I thought, "I recognise those shoes," then when I saw the dickie bow, I got the shock of my life. I didn't have a clue!'

Contestant's embarrassing fall

Walton was making her way down the stairs with the rest of the girls at the beginning of the show when she tripped and fell.

Paddy immediately ran to the rescue after she tripped over her heels - but it resulted in an awkward wardrobe malfunction when her skirt hoisted up.

Luckily, Emma went unscathed following the incident.

Damion Merry's disastrous appearance

His awkward appearance has gone down in history after he managed to offend almost all 30 women on the panel at once.

After a brunette contestant named Lucy turned her light off and rejected him, Damian blurted out to the studio: 'I was going to pick you, Lucy.'

He left the rest of the women unimpressed after they felt like second choices.

By the final round, Damion doubled down on wanting to pick Lucy and even mistakenly called his eventual date, Chelsea, by Lucy's name.

MAFS star Peggy appeared on the show

Married At First Sight fans were left stunned after realising Peggy Rose Lawrence appeared on Take Me Out.

The reality star, 34, who married Georges Berthonneau before their split, attempted to find love years before on Paddy's dating show.

Peggy looked unrecognisable with dark hair and thick black eye-liner in a resurfaced video from 2012.

Earlier this year, Peggy revealed she had a miscarriage after her IVF battle with a mystery partner.

After he walked out of the Love Lift, Whyte endured the biggest nightmare and was rejected instantly.

Paddy quipped there were 'still five girls with their lights on' as he attempted to perk him up before introducing himself.

But it was soon over for Whyte after the remaining five girls turned off their lights.

Weddings

The show has had its fair share of success stories, leading to many engagements, children and marriages.

Take Me Out, which went on for 11 seasons, has a legacy of eight weddings and six babies.

David Cobain and Adele Vellacott were the show's first couple to tie the knot in 2014. They went on to have two children.

Adam Ryan and Beckie Finch, who share two sons, said 'I Do' in 2017 despite initially turning his light off on the show. The pair reconnected via Facebook days later.

Meanwhile, Andrew Shaw and Lindsay McCartney married in 2013 after appearing on season two and later relocated to Australia.
