Meghan Markle says she was told of 'disturbing' allegations about father in 2018

Translate

Meghan the Duchess of Sussex has revealed she was informed of "disturbing allegations" involving her estranged father in 2018, which she says prompted her to keep her children away from him.

"I am deeply distressed at the news that has come to light in the last 24 hours, and my thoughts are with any children who may have been harmed," she said.

It comes after claims of child sexual abuse material belonging to her father had been found at his former home in the Philippines.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Thomas Markle denied possessing the images, calling the accusations "sick lies".
