Croatian midfielder Luka Modric is ninth with 1,178 appearances, including 597 for Real Madrid and 160 for Tottenham Hotspur.
His international career with Croatia has also contributed significantly to his impressive total.
Other notable names include Brazilian goalkeeper Rogério Ceni, who recorded 1,226 appearances, and former England goalkeeper Paul Bastock, who has more than 1,297 appearances.
The ranking also features legendary figures such as Gianluigi Buffon, Roberto Carlos, Xavi, Iker Casillas, Ryan Giggs, Paolo Maldini and Frank Lampard.
Among the players listed, Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has recorded 1,005 appearances across 11 clubs and his national team, while Asa Hartford and Dannie Bulman have also surpassed the 1,000-game mark.
