Teen remanded 6 days to assist in sports school murder probe
The 16-year-old arrested over the death of a Form 2 student at a sports school in Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, has been remanded for six days to assist in the murder probe.
Negeri Sembilan police chief Alzafny Ahmad said the remand order was granted by the Seremban magistrates’ court this morning, Berita Harian reported.
“The court has placed him under police remand until Oct 1,” he said.
The victim, 14, was found unconscious in the school dormitory before being rushed to Hospital Tuanku Ampuan Najihah, where he was pronounced dead.
The case is being probed for murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code, while the victim’s family claimed bullying was involved.
