LOS ANGELES: Supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber exhaustively sought every possible avenue to intervene in their son Presley's declining health before his tragic death, according to sources.

The 27-year-old died on Sept 20 following a suspected overdose and subsequent cardiac arrest at a rehab facility, according to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner records and Santa Monica police logs.

An official cause of death has been deferred pending an ongoing investigation by local authorities.

According to People, insiders revealed that Crawford and Gerber spent years guiding Presley through various treatment methods, including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, therapy, homeopathies, and round-the-clock sober coaches.

The couple, who are also parents of their 25-year-old daughter, Kaia Gerber, actively supported his creative pursuits in modelling and photography.

Although Presley enjoyed a period of sobriety last winter, his condition deteriorated significantly over the past year.

"Presley had periods when he was doing really well, but had been struggling lately," a source close to Crawford shared, noting that his parents never lost hope and are now left wondering what more they could have done. The family, currently requesting privacy, is described as being completely heartbroken.

Kaia is reportedly receiving constant support from loved ones as she copes with the sudden loss of her brother, whom she had discussed openly in an interview just weeks before his passing.

During his final public appearance alongside his parents at a launch event in June, Presley reflected candidly on his mental health journey and substance struggles, sharing, "The most free I felt was when I was finally honest with myself."
