Four Tet Produced a Tech-House Remix for the Durutti Column

Translate

Before this year, the Manchester band the Durutti Column hadn’t released an album since 2010, but that hasn’t stopped its fanbase from growing. Vini Reilly’s project has inspired Harry Styles, Blood Orange, the Avalanches, and now, Four Tet—who created a hazy tech-house rework of “Your Shadow at Morning” from the Durutti Column’s 2026 album, Renascent.

“It’s only in the last couple of years that I learnt about the Durutti Column and explored their wonderful catalogue,” says Four Tet. “It’s had a big impact on me so I was thrilled when a new album was announced and then when I was asked to do a remix it felt like the universe was confirming I was connected to this music.”
