Two Texas parents have been arrested after a shocking brawl at a 12-year-olds girls' softball game left one man unconscious with a fractured skull.

Kiarious Marshun Hall and his wife, Jazmine Hall, were attending their daughter's game at Imperial Park in Sugar Land, Texas, on Saturday when the violence occurred.

The dispute reportedly began when a parent from the opposing Timbergrove Thunder team approached Kiarious to complain about his disruptive cheering before pitches.

According to witnesses, Kiarious was accosted by a rival parent over his behavior during opposing team at-bats, before later informing officers that he was told he 'couldn't cheer before the players pitched the ball.'

Video footage that later emerged showed Kiarious allegedly striking the opposing father in the face with a heavy metal water bottle, instantly knocking him out.

The victim suffered severe injuries, including a broken jaw, a fractured skull and brain bleeds. He remains hospitalized at St. Luke's Hospital, according to his attorney.

A grandfather at the game, Gary Greaser, attempted to intervene and disarm Kiarious before he could strike anyone else.

'I said 'You can't do this.' I took him, I wanted to disarm the guy, because he's going to do it to somebody else,' Greaser told reporters.

As Greaser intervened, Jazmine allegedly pushed him, sending both of them tumbling into bushes. Greaser sustained a broken hip, and required seven stitches on his chin.

Greaser added: 'We're saying 'Hey, why are you getting loud?' It's bad sportsmanship to do it right as the pitch comes up when our girls are batting, and that's all it took.

'He just flipped and said, I can do whatever I want, I can say whatever I want. And you can't stop me'.'

'It's medieval times like we're going to smash each other in the head with something,' Greaser said.

Bystanders eventually broke up the melee before Sugar Land police arrived to arrest both Kiarious and Jazmine. The couple was booked into the Fort Bend County Jail on charges of assault causing bodily injury.

Kiarious claimed to investigators that he acted in self-defense after being 'elbowed and poked' in the chest, but court documents noted that the video evidence did not back up his claim.

The fallout from the violent altercation saw Jazmine voluntarily resign from her position as an assistant principal at Lamar Junior High School.

The Lamar Consolidated Independent School District confirmed her resignation in a statement provided to The Daily Mail, noting that the incident was reported to human resources and was not affiliated with any district-sponsored event.

'Lamar CISD is aware of the incident involving a Lamar Junior High School employee,' the district said in a statement.

'The employee voluntarily reported the incident to the district's human resources department over the weekend. The incident occurred outside of school and was not associated with any Lamar CISD-sponsored event or activity.'
