Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and Tottenham are all working hard to secure new signings in time for the January window. Arsenal are being linked with shock moves for Kim Min-jae and Bazoumana Toure amid another potentially significant twist in the Julian Alvarez transfer saga. The Gunners could also swoop for Antonio Nusa and Gilberto Mora while they are hopeful of agreeing new contracts with Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber.

Liverpool are now said to be leading the race for Alex Scott ahead of Chelsea following Bournemouth’s surprise U-turn on a deal that could be worth up to £100million. Lisandro Martinez is expected to leave Manchester United next summer after his controversial outburst this week, with a replacement being lined up in January - possibly Jarrad Branthwaite. Adrien Truffert could be another arrival at Old Trafford in the New Year.

Tottenham are rumoured to be plotting a loan bid for Endrick at Real Madrid, who want to sign Pedro Porro. Harry Kane will not be returning to the Premier League after agreeing a new deal at Bayern Munich until 2029. Follow the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip live below!

Man Utd target January double deal

Manchester United look to be targeting a double deal during the January transfer window.

Lisandro Martinez’s future at Old Trafford has been thrust into significant doubt following this week’s shock post-Atletico Madrid outburst - one for which he has now apologised after talks with senior club executives and reportedly been fined.

Martinez is out of contract at United next summer and it sounds like there is no appetite on either side to trigger an extension.

Instead reports claim that he will be allowed to depart, with a replacement being sought in January.

The Daily Mail say that Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite remains a player of interest in central defence, with United to also swoop for a new left-back with Bournemouth’s Adrien Truffert top of their list.

Arsenal eye shock moves for new targets

Arsenal are considering moves for two surprise new targets, reports claim.

The Gunners are likely to be on the hunt for significant reinforcements both in January and again next summer after a somewhat slow previous window in which they did not land the statement attacking reinforcements that they were after.

TEAMtalk suggests that Arsenal are interested in Bazoumana Toure, who has impressed at Newcastle since moving to Tyneside from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim for £42m in July.

Meanwhile, German journalist Christian Falk claims that the reigning Premier League champions have also shortlisted Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae following the injury to Piero Hincapie.

Jadon Sancho offered new home

Manchester United flop Jadon Sancho has been offered an escape from his free agency nightmare by Getafe.

Sancho is currently without a club after his United contract was allowed to expire last summer, calling time on an ill-fated five-year association with the club.

After a third underwhelming loan spell at Aston Villa last season, Sancho’s United contract expired and he headed into this campaign without a home.

But, per reports from The Times, there is light at the end of the tunnel after Getafe of La Liga offered Sancho a contract.

The terms of the offer are not yet clear, but it is said that Getafe boss Jose Bordalas holds the player in high esteem and believes he can help inspire an upturn in the club’s form.

New: Martinez apologises after clear-the-air talks with Carrick

Lisandro Martinez has issued a fresh apology after Manchester United reportedly fined him for speaking out against the club’s hierarchy in a bombshell interview this week.

Speaking after United were turned over by Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night, the Argentine gave a stunning interview to Amazon Prime in which he slammed United’s executives for a subpar performance in the transfer window and questioned the commitment of some of his team-mates.

He said United’s performance against Atletico was “really poor” and the product of a summer spend which did not match the squad’s expectations.

His words triggered unrest in the United dressing room, and he was reportedly confronted by at least one team-mate.

He clarified his words in a statement on Wednesday, but has now issued a further apology after holding clear-the-air talks with Michael Carrick and club executives Jason Wilcox and Omar Berrada.

Standard Sport understands that meeting was held on Thursday afternoon, after which Martinez made the independent decision to issue a public apology for his outburst. Imposed sanctions will remain behind closed doors.

Harry Kane strikes new deal

Harry Kane has agreed to extend his Bayern Munich contract through to 2029.

It was reported last month that talks had hit a breakthrough, and Sky Sports are now reporting a full package has been agreed between player and club.

Formalities are now underway, with the player expected to sign in the coming days.

Porro wants out

Tottenham captain Pedro Porro is keen to move back to La Liga and has his heart set on a transfer to Barcelona.

Per the Spanish paper El Nacional, the Catalan club have already been in touch with Porro’s representatives to discuss a transfer as early as this January.

Arsenal eye move for Kim Min-jae

Kim Min-jae has emerged as a shock transfer candidate for Arsenal in January, new reports claim.

The Gunners could look to strengthen defensively when the transfer window reopens for business in the New Year, with the likes of William Saliba and Piero Hincapie currently sidelined by injury.

German journalist Christian Falk reports that Arsenal have added Bayern Munich centre-back Kim, 29, to their shortlist following the ankle injury suffered by Hincapie during a post-match warm-down last weekend.

Interestingly, he points out that Maurizio Micheli - Arsenal’s current head of scouting - was the man responsible for bringing South Korea international Kim to Napoli from Fenerbahce back in 2022.

Tottenham set to launch Alex Baena bid

Tottenham are said to be planning a move for Alex Baena.

The Atletico Madrid midfielder has impressed in LaLiga this season and starred against England at Wembley last month, scoring Spain’s equaliser off the bench and also assisting Mikel Oyarzabal’s winning goal in a Nations League thriller.

Spanish publication La Razon claims that Spurs are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in Baena and are reportedly preparing an offer worth around £68m for his services in January.

However, they also mention Manchester City, Aston Villa and Newcastle as rival suitors for the 25-year-old, who joined Atletico from Villarreal last year and also impressed during Spain’s World Cup triumph in the summer.

Chelsea add Luka Vuskovic to transfer shortlist

Chelsea are being linked with a swoop for ex-Tottenham defender Luka Vuskovic.

The Croatian centre-back has impressed since leaving Spurs for Brighton in a £50m transfer over the summer.

Journalist Ekrem Konur now claims that Chelsea have added Vuskovic to their transfer shortlist for the summer window in 2027.

However, they are believed to face stern competition from the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Liverpool target Juventus star Pierre Kalulu

Liverpool are targeting a potential move for Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu, reports claim.

The Reds will be on the lookout for plenty more reinforcements in 2027 after a frustratingly slow summer transfer window.

Further defensive strengthening will be a priority for Andoni Iraola, amid suggestions from Italy that they have shortlisted Juventus right-back Kalulu as a target along with Wesley of Roma.

That is according to tuttomercatoweb, who state that Juventus are trying to agree a new long-term contract with the versatile five-cap France international, who can also play at centre-back.
