President al-Sisi heads to Korea at start of Asian Tour

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi will travel to the Republic of Korea on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, as the first leg of his Asian tour that will also include Malaysia and Indonesia.

The tour will begin with a state visit to the Republic of Korea, where President Sisi will hold talks with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae Myung, according to Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed al-Shennawy.

During the visit, the president will also participate in a roundtable with the heads and representatives of major Korean companies.

The tour will also include a state visit to Malaysia and a visit to Indonesia, the spokesman added.
