“So last July 26, he asked me to be his girlfriend and this one he asked me to be his wife. Very cute. My heart can't take it. Honestly, it makes me want to cry whenever I talk about it. But it was on our one-year of being official. We had been together, obviously, before he asked me to be his girlfriend, but it was on our official one-year anniversary,” she said in a video, captured and reposted on TikTok.

The detail she stressed is that the couple had been together before July 26 of last year. The date was never about when they met. It marked the day they made things official, and Herbert chose to come back to it.
