Tottenham: How Roberto De Zerbi hopes Spain training camp will help improve squad morale

Tottenham Hotspur Football Newsletter

Spurs find themselves rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and have yet to win any of their opening five league games.

They will hope to change that against United, but De Zerbi has already taken steps to try to change the momentum around the club after an extended international break.

The timing of the training camp, so early into the season and so soon after a three week international break, is surprising but perhaps reflective of the club’s dire situation.

While this training camp is not billed as a team bonding exercise, De Zerbi has been keen to use a change in environment to build squad morale since taking the reins in north London.
