Hollyoaks' Warren Fox swarmed by police as shock Jenson twist is revealed

Warren Fox was dramatically swarmed by police in the latest episode of Hollyoaks as he was set up by Jenson Cole, with the undercover police officer continuing to remain undetected in the ongoing storyline.

After several months of back-and-forth between Warren and Jenson, who are supposedly half-brothers, it was revealed that the latter was actually an undercover cop attempting to bring down Gemma Johnson's criminal enterprise.

This involves stolen wallets of cryptocurrency, though she has managed to hide them well. That all changed during Monday's (24 August) instalment of the Channel 4 soap, however, as Jenson spotted a clue in the wall in her house.

Tonight's episode began with Jenson attempting to speak with Gemma, though she admitted that she didn't trust him. Donny also told him to stay away from his daughter, but Jenson attempted to keep an eye on the pair.

Jenson later visited Warren and Mercedes, and he explained that he wanted to build bridges with them again. After Mercedes left, Warren ominously said that he wanted a word with Jenson.

Warren, unaware that Jenson is working with the police, chastised his half-brother for working with Gemma. Jenson appealed to Warren's love of his family, though the latter noted that he wasn't particularly full of trust.

Fearing that Warren wasn't willing to reach a middle ground, Jenson tempted him by revealing the location of the crypto wallets. He also said that he knew the seed patterns to unlock them, and this piqued Warren's interest.

He quickly sought about getting to work, and went "barrelling in" to the hospital to retrieve the wallets. Once he retrieved them, he smugly called Gemma to let her know that she had been "played".

There was a twist, however, as Warren was actually the one being duped. Just as he prepared to walk away with some money, armed police arrived, and Donny arrested him on the spot.

As he was being taken away, Jenson called his boss and said that he didn't want to be undercover any longer now that Warren was "finished". It also became clear that he wanted to build a future with Mercedes, but will that happen?

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
