Jude Law In Talks To Join Scarlett Johansson In Ari Aster’s Next Movie ‘Scapegoat’ At A24 And Square Peg
EXCLUSIVE: Jude Law is in negotiations to co-star opposite Scarlett Johansson in the Ari Aster and A24 thriller Scapegoat. Aster is directing the pic from a script he penned. A24, who has released Aster’s past four films, is the distributor. Jacob Elordi also recently joined the cast.
Aster and partner Lars Knudsen will produce through their Square Peg banner.
While the plot is being kept under wraps, some have speculated that it’s about a doctor who operates on an internet-famous person. Others say it’s sci-fi romance, and some have said it’s more of a traditional drama for Aster. As of now, there is no consensus on the movie’s details, according to insiders.
Deadline first reported earlier this year that this would be Aster’s next film after the director had taken his time deciding on what would be his follow-up to Eddington.
Law has had himself a busy 12 months that has included the Star Wars series The Skeleton Crew and the Emmy-nominated Netflix limited series Black Rabbit. He also recently played Vladmir Putin in The Wizard of the Kremlin.
Next up he can be seen in the Apple limited series Wild Things where he plays Vegas performer Siegfried opposite Andrew Garfield. He also recently wrapped production on the new movie from Nancy Meyers.
