Eddie Vedder Performs with Pixies, Bad Religion, and Everyone Else at Ohana Fest

This weekend marked the 10th anniversary of Ohana Festival, organized by Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder in Dana Point, California. In addition to Pearl Jam’s surprise Friday night set (during which they unveiled Abe Laboriel Jr. as their new drummer) and their announced headlining performance to close out Sunday, Vedder popped up as a guest during several other sets throughout the weekend.

Vedder got the festival started early on Friday with a surprise afternoon performance of The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” on ukulele. He then joined punk rock veterans Bad Religion for “American Jesus,” a song he contributed backing vocals to on their 1993 album Recipe for Hate.

Later on Friday, ahead of Pearl Jam’s surprise set, Vedder staged an acoustic performance that included Simon Good joining him for a cover of Glen Hansard’s “Song of Good Hope,” dedicated in honor of the late Irish musician. He also brought out Billy Idol for a cover of The Who’s “I’m One.”

Elsewhere during the weekend, Vedder revisited Temple of the Dog’s “Hunger Strike” during a guest appearance with Stephen Wilson Jr., and sat in with Pixies for “Wave of Mutilation.”

Vedder then closed out Ohana Fest 2026 by joining the rest of Pearl Jam for a headlining set on Sunday night, which brought yet another surprise collaboration: Billy Strings joined in for “Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town” and covers of Neil Young’s “Throw Your Hatred Down” and “Rockin’ in the Free World.”
