Motion Picture Lit Agent Steve Roy Joins CAA

Steve Roy has joined CAA as an agent in the Motion Picture Literary Department.

Based out of CAA’s Los Angeles office, Roy reports to Motion Picture Literary department co-heads Dan Rabinow and Ida Ziniti. He comes to the agency from Buchwald, where he’d been working as an agent since 2023.

While at Buchwald, Roy repped a roster of writers and directors including Juan Pablo González (Dos Estaciones), Nicholas Colia (Griffin in Summer), Alan Scott Neal (Last Straw), Luke Shanahan (Rabbit), Kasper Møller Rask (Nordland ’99), John Strauss (There’s Something About Mary), Scott Rashap (Toru). He began his career there as an assistant in 2020.
