Translate

Four people have been hospitalised, including a woman in critical condition, after being injured in a drive-by shooting south of Brisbane in the Australian state of Queensland on Saturday night, reported Xinhua.

The Queensland Police Service said in a statement late on Saturday that multiple shots were fired from a vehicle in Loganholme, about 28km southeast of central Brisbane, at around 8.15 pm local time, injuring four people.

“The vehicle involved was seen leaving the scene,” the police statement said.

“There is not believed to be any ongoing threat to the public.”

On Sunday, police confirmed that a 19-year-old woman had been shot in the head and remained in critical condition, according to the Brisbane Times.

The other victims were two men, aged 38 and 37, who were both in serious but stable condition, and a 27-year-old man who remained in stable condition.

Local media reported that the shooting took place outside a venue hosting a boxing event.

Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact investigators.
