5 Coronation Street spoilers for tonight as Sam's secrets are exposed

Coronation Street spoilers follow from Thursday's episode (1 October), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn't aired on ITV1 yet.

In tonight's Coronation Street, Sam decides to face the music after his recent misdeeds – and his family are shocked by what he's been up to!

Elsewhere, Jodie resorts to lying to Doug about David's loyalty to Shona, and Carl is fearful as Debbie forgets their recent tensions.

Read on for five big moments in Thursday's episode…

1. Sam's revelations shock his family

Eva calls Toyah and Leanne to the hospital, where she tells them that Sam was responsible for her fall down the cellar steps. Nick and Ben are also soon brought up to speed.

With the walls closing in, Sam faces the inevitable repercussions as he speaks to his family and reveals his version of what happened. He's confronted by a variety of reactions, with one person particularly furious with him!

The drama doesn't stop there, though – as Sam also comes clean about how he recently stole Nick's identity to buy thousands of pounds' worth of crypto!

2. Jodie brands David a love cheat

Jodie claims that her "new man" has sent her flowers, but as always, she seems to be playing games.

With Doug asking questions, Jodie lies that the flowers were from David and they've been sneaking around behind Shona's back for weeks. Will Doug believe her tall tales?

Later, Jodie clearly sees Doug as a threat as she starts tampering with his anti-psychotic medication in a desperate bid to discredit him.

3. Carl's peace-making chat doesn't go to plan

Carl realises that he can't blame Debbie for suspecting his involvement in Eva's attack, since his bad reputation precedes him.

However, when Carl tries to make amends with Debbie, he's dismayed to realise that she doesn't even remember their argument. Are Debbie's dementia symptoms rapidly getting worse?

4. Christina wants answers

Christina is curious when she hears Tim discreetly trying to talk to Lisa about Rachel's death. She seeks answers from Tim, but he gives her short shrift.

Deciding that she needs another ally alongside George, Christina decides to tell someone else about her tragic long-lost daughter, hoping they can help her find out more details about what really happened to Rachel.

5. Betsy makes a big decision

Lisa supports Betsy as she heads off for her college interview. Sadly, Betsy's confidence is at an all-time low after another challenging week.

Once back home, Betsy shares a big decision with Lisa regarding her fashion ambitions…
