Police inaugurate divisional facility donated by N’Delta firm

A Niger-Delta-based firm, Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, has donated a newly constructed and furnished facility to the Nigeria Police Force, Enerhen Division.

Speaking at the inauguration which attracted traditional rulers, community leaders, senior police officers and security personnel, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the firm, Mr. Matthew Tonlagha, represented by the Executive Director, Operations, Mr. Martins Avuara, disclosed that “the company considered security a critical component of sustainable development”.

He added, “The decision to construct and furnish the facility was driven by the company’s commitment to supporting security agencies and contributing to the development of Delta State and Nigeria”.

He said Maton Engineering “would continue to support initiatives that have a positive impact on the people and contribute to the development of society”.

The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Delta State Police Command, Samuel Erale, represented by the Warri Area Commander, ACP Graham Imade, expressed appreciation to individuals, organisations and stakeholders who contributed to the successful completion of the project, which he described as “a lasting legacy”.

He commended the Chairman of Maton Engineering Nigeria Limited, Tonlagha, “for funding and constructing the facility.

This gesture is a significant contribution to the Nigeria Police Force”.

He further acknowledged Schlumberger, the company that donated the parcel of land on which the facility was constructed, for its contribution to the development of the police and the Enerhen community.

Also speaking at the event, the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, His Royal Majesty (Dr.) Emmanuel Sideso, Abe 1, represented by the Secretary of the Uvwie Traditional Council, Chief Samuel Eshenake, appealed for similar projects to be replicated in other communities across Delta State.
