Adrian Luna missed a penalty as Chennaiyin FC held Kerala Blasters to a goalless draw in their Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here on Saturday.

The result extended Chennaiyin’s winless streak to four matches after two draws and as many losses, while the Blasters dropped points for the second game in a row, following a similar result against Mumbai City last week.

The Blasters’ biggest chance came in the second half when Irfan Yadwad handled the ball in his box. However, Luna shot off-target as chance of a potential winner slipped through the visitors’ grip. Yadwad got a chance to redeem himself in the last minutes of the match when Chennaiyin attacked against the run of play.

Yadwad got a pass from the left but he failed to beat Amrinder Singh in a one-on-one situation. In second-half stoppage time, tempers flared between the two sides as Chennaiyin’s Emmanuel Imanishimwe and Blasters’ Andre Green were both sent off, reducing the two teams to 10 men each.

It seems like an uphill battle for Marina Machans from here, for they will face defending champion East Bengal at home next, a team that has scored nine goals in two league matches so far. Meanwhile, the Blasters will travel to Goa for its next match almost a month later, against the Gaurs at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Match result

Chennaiyin FC 0 drew with Kerala Blasters 0
