SINGAPORE, Oct 8 — Singapore will incorporate Covid-19 vaccination into the National Childhood Immunisation Schedule (NCIS) and National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) from October 12, 2026.
The Health Ministry and Communicable Disease Agency (CDA), in a joint statement, said Covid-19 vaccination had been offered under the National Vaccination Programme (NVP) since 2020 to facilitate vaccine uptake during the pandemic.
“As Covid-19 will continue to circulate and pose a risk of severe disease, particularly among older and medically vulnerable individuals, Covid-19 vaccination will be added to the NCIS and NAIS to ensure the vaccine remains accessible and affordable for the public,” it said on Wednesday.
The vaccines will be recommended for individuals aged 60 and above; medically vulnerable individuals aged six months and above; and residents of aged-care facilities.
“Additionally, healthcare workers and persons living or working with medically vulnerable individuals are encouraged to receive the vaccine to help protect those around them.
“Other individuals aged six months and above who wish to receive the Covid-19 vaccine may continue to do so,” it added. — Bernama
