Motor City is a gritty action thriller that also stars actors like Shailene Woodley (Paradise), Ben Foster (Hell or High Water), Ben McKenzie (Gotham), and Pablo Schreiber (Halo). The R-rated movie was released in theaters on July 24, 2026. Motor City had an interesting approach, as it banked on a straightforward revenge storyline and Ritchson's action prowess to cut down on the dialogue, with only a few lines spoken throughout the entire movie.

The action-forward movie trails some other long-running films on the Amazon VOD US chart. The one that has currently been trending for the longest time is the Sydney Sweeney psychological thriller The Housemaid, at 233 days. Other noteworthy films include Chris Pratt's video game adaptation The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, at 119 days, Guy Ritchie's In the Grey, at 114 days, and the biopic Michael, at 104 days. At the time of writing, Ritchson's Motor City is the 14th most-watched movie on Amazon VOD in the US, standing higher than Young Washington, One Night Only, The Death of Robin Hood, and many more.

At the same time, Ritchson is dominating Prime Video's US charts. He appears in the top two shows on the streamer nationwide, with Reacher currently in 2nd after the end of season 4, and the first Reacher spinoff, Neagley, in 1st, with Ritchson as a guest star as Jack Reacher. As such, Motor City continues that 2026 success for Ritchson.
