India international and Tamil Nadu cricketer Sai Sudharsan hobbled off the field on the second day of the Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan in Jaipur on Monday.
Sudharsan went down while attempting to stop a drive from Karan Lamba at cover off P. Saravana Kumar. The injury did not appear serious, and a member of the support staff helped him off the field.
Sudharsan had only recently returned to action — after recovering from a toe injury — during the recently concluded India A series against Australia A in Puducherry. He has also been named in India A’s squad for three red-ball matches in New Zealand, beginning in Lincoln on October 26.
Sudharsan was not initially included in Tamil Nadu’s squad for the Ranji Trophy match against Rajasthan. However, after arriving at 10 p.m. on the eve of the game, he was added to the playing XI at the last minute.
