A minor eruption occurred at the summit crater of Mayon Volcano early Monday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
There were camera footages of the minor Strombolian activity at the Mayon Volcano summit crater recorded at 01:15 a.m. captured by the Upper Lidong Observation Station (VMUL) thermal camera and the Mayon Volcano Observatory Ligñon Hill (VMLH) Crater RasPi and IP cameras, the PHIVOLCS reported.
The agency also said Alert Level 2 prevails over Mayon and entry into the 6-km radius Permanent Danger Zone should be avoided. — BAP, GMA News
