Emmerdale airs explosive Nicola and Sadie King scenes at Jimmy's funeral in early ITVX release

An emotional day in Emmerdale celebrating the late Jimmy King has seen two of his wives, Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Sadie (Patsy Kensit), come head to head.

Ever since Sadie returned to the village in September, she's made it her mission to get her hands on her ex-hubby's cash from the sale of haulage business Home James. She told Nicola that, over the last three years, they'd been in a relationship.

Nicola was heartbroken to think that Jimmy had been unfaithful, unaware that it was all a vicious lie.

The truth is that Jimmy had been in touch with Sadie and was helping her financially, though wanted to agree a repayment plan and then cut contact. There were a series of voice notes that would reveal this, but Nicola had found it too painful to listen to them - until today.

The latest instalment kicked off with Sadie approaching partner in crime Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) in the village, demanding to know why he'd been at Hotten Golf Club collecting some of Jimmy's belongings. She knew that he had the money, though he insisted that there was nothing to be found.

Ahead of the funeral, Nicola decided that it was the right time to finally listen to the messages alongside best friend Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).

The pair were stunned to hear of Jimmy's devotion to Nicola and their family, and that Sadie had clearly lied through her teeth about their relationship.

Rather than making a scene during the service, Nicola made her nemesis move from the front row to further back in the church, and then delivered a moving eulogy about her beloved.

When everyone gathered outside, vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) revealed that there'd been a problem with the hearse - though Bob Hope (Tony Audenshaw) had came up with an alternative. He drove one of the Home James haulage vans into the village, and transported Jimmy's coffin to the cemetery.

The villagers then sang a rendition of 'King of the Road', with Sadie walking over to pay her respects.

Nicola couldn't keep quiet any longer and launched a verbal and physical attack, hurling a bouquet of flowers at her. Sadie fell onto the pile of soil, and thoroughly shamed, she wandered away.

Robert chased after her and warned that, if she was to try and accuse him of taking Jimmy's money, nobody would believe her.

What will Sadie's next move be?
