Egypt Is Now Giving Young People a Platform to Share Their Ideas

Translate

Egypt is planning a new interactive platform aimed at giving young people a more direct way to share their ideas, launch initiatives, and get involved in their communities.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has directed the National Training Academy to work with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and other relevant government bodies on launching the platform, according to a statement marking International Youth Day.

The aim is to create a space where young Egyptians can speak up, share projects and ideas, and potentially turn those ideas into real initiatives.

The platform has not been launched yet, and more details about how it will work and when it will go live are expected to be soon announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Training Academy.

The platform aims to focus on encouraging young people to take part in community service and volunteer work, while promoting a stronger sense of belonging and responsibility toward their communities and the country.

El-Sisi highlighted in the statement the importance of young people to Egypt’s future, pointing to their energy, creativity and ability to contribute to the country’s development.

The announcement comes as Egypt marks International Youth Day, putting renewed attention on the role young people can play beyond education and employment, including volunteering, community work and coming up with new ideas for their communities.

Egypt has a very large young population, with more than one in five people aged 18 to 29. The numbers also show that while millions of young Egyptians are pursuing higher education, getting young people into the labour market, particularly young women, remains a significant challenge.
