Alison Hammond becomes teary-eyed in exclusive look at The Great British Bake Off's biscuit week
It's biscuit week in The Great British Bake Off tent tonight and things become rather emotional in the tent!
Tonight's episode saw the bakers tasked with creating American-style cookies for the showstopper,
In an exclusive clip shared with Radio Times, a closer look is offered at Connie's bake and what begins as a judging moment soon turns emotional, leaving host Alison Hammond in tears.
In the clip, Connie presents her Jamaican flag biscuit mosaic, noting her inspiration for it stemmed from the catastrophic category 5 hurricane in October last year, the strongest hurricane in Jamaica's modern history.
"I wanted to do a flag with a little heart in the middle to say that, 'We haven't forgotten you and our hearts are with you.'" As she explained her design further, Connie became upset before Alison Hammond came over to give her a hug.
As Connie said sorry, judge Nigella Lawson said: "You mustn't apologise for having emotion. You've managed to say an awful lot in what is a simple but really powerful design."

Connie is a 63-year-old NHS hospital discharge lead from London who is affectionately known as "the Cake Lady" by her friends and family.
She is best known for her hearty carrot cakes, with favourite flavours including rum fruit, lemon and lavender. She keeps a jar of fruit permanently soaking in rum, wine and cinnamon – "you can smell the cake before you see it!"
In the tent, Connie is bringing her baking super power which she cites is "baking with heart".
She continued: "I bring fun, determination, and care into everything I do. I love creating bakes that make people smile, and even when things don't go to plan, I'm determined to keep going until I've done my very best.
"Most importantly, I genuinely care about the people I bake for. For me, baking is about bringing joy, showing kindness, and creating something special to share with others."
