Pokémon reveals Krispy Kreme collab: UK release date and what to expect

Translate

Yep, you read that right. Pokémon is teaming up with Krispy Kreme to provide some tasty treats inspired by the iconic franchise's 30th anniversary.

This is one of many collaborations that The Pokémon Company has pulled together to celebrate the big day, with other eye-catching crossovers including those with The National Trust, Tonies, Legoland and G-Shock.

But if your mind is now fully set on a Pokémon-themed doughnut, when can you expect to enjoy exactly that? For fans here in the UK, we've got all the detail you seek below.

The Pokémon Krispy Kreme release date is Tuesday 18 August, the official Krispy Kreme website has confirmed.

That is sooner than you might have expected, so be sure to clear your diary and decide which Krispy Kreme location you're going to visit for the big day.

And if you're wondering exactly what will be in store when you get there, keep on reading and we'll explain everything.

What to expect from the Pokémon X Krispy Kreme collab

Which one are you having? Pokémon / Krispy Kreme

The Pokémon menu at Krispy Kreme will consist of "six playful doughnuts with unique flavours and colourful designs, plus a special-edition pack of 10 Original Glazed Gold Pokémon Dots".

The iconic creatures featured in the doughnuts are Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Charmander, Pikachu and Jigglypuff, and there's also a Poké-Ball doughnut design which looks absolutely great. Yes please.

You might also be interested to know that the aforementioned gold dots come in Pokémon-branded cups, which are almost certain to last longer than the doughnuts themselves!

Of course, this isn't the only thing for Pokémon fans to look forward to right now, with the release of the Pokémon Trading Card Game 30th anniversary collection also getting pretty close now.

And looking further into the future, Pokémon: Winds and Waves is waiting on the horizon as the next big video game release in the mainline series.

But, who are we kidding? Right now, all we can think about is doughnuts. If you do go out and get some, enjoy!
