JOHOR BAHRU, Nov 2 — A teenage girl sustained injuries after having a seizure while peering over a staircase wall, before falling from the second floor of a flat in the Tampoi area here yesterday.

Acting Johor Bahru Utara district police chief Supt Azrol Anuar Nor said his team received a report at about 12.20pm regarding the incident involving the 18-year-old victim.

He said the victim was found lying conscious on the sidewalk beside the flat building. Preliminary investigation results indicate that the victim was believed to have suffered a seizure while peering down over the staircase wall, before falling from the second floor of the flat.

“The victim suffered injuries to the back of the head as well as to the neck, left wrist and right leg, and is currently receiving treatment at Sultanah Aminah Hospital here,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Azrol Anuar also said that the police have identified four witnesses and will record their statements to complete the investigation.

“The public is advised not to make any speculation that could interfere with the investigation, and any information related to the incident should be channelled to 07-5563122,” he added. — Bernama
