The 27-year-old was involved in the road accident on Millhouse Wood Lane, close to Hull City’s training facilities. Images showing the overturned vehicle circulated on social media, raising concern among supporters.

Hull City subsequently issued a statement to reassure fans that Thomas had not been injured.

The club said: “Hull City is relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed following a road traffic accident near to the club’s Cottingham training ground.”

The statement added: “The club is aware of images of Sorba’s car circulating on social media and can reassure supporters that he has sustained no injuries and emerged from his vehicle completely unscathed.”

The circumstances surrounding the accident have not been disclosed by Hull City, and it remains unclear what caused the vehicle to overturn.

Thomas recently joined Hull City from Stoke City and made his Premier League debut in the club’s goalless draw against Aston Villa on September 5. He also started Hull’s Carabao Cup fixture against Sunderland on September 8, playing the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 defeat.

Hull City have made an unbeaten start to their Premier League campaign, collecting seven points from their opening three matches. The Tigers recorded victories over Manchester United and Coventry City before drawing 0-0 with Aston Villa.

The club are scheduled to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, but it was not immediately clear whether Thomas would be available for the fixture following the accident.
