India defeated the Netherlands 3-2 in Bengaluru in February — a landmark win over a side ranked World No. 6 at the time, with Dhakshineswar Suresh winning both his singles rubbers and combining with Yuki Bhambri to seal the doubles. Korea Republic beat 2016 champion Argentina 3-2 in Busan, coming back from 1-2 down behind wins from Soon-woo Kwon and Hyeon Chung.
