Translate

Pramod Bhagat (para badminton) and sprinter Simran Sharma (para athletics) were India’s flag-bearers at the opening ceremony.

For the first time in Asian Para Games history, all 45 nations are represented. A milestone that reflects the growing strength of the Paralympic movement across the continent.

India has sent a 281-member contingent, comprising 168 athletes (112 men and 56 women) and 113 officials and support staff.

The Indian athletes will compete across 11 sports, with para athletics having the largest representation of 62 competitors.

The continental sporting extravaganza will run until October 24, bringing together para-athletes from across Asia to compete across multiple disciplines.
