East Bengal FC has thanked the West Bengal government for waiving the rental charges for the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK), allowing the club to host its Indian Super League (ISL) 2026-27 home matches at the venue free of cost.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the Kolkata club expressed its gratitude to West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and Sports Minister Indranil Khan for the decision.

The club confirmed that it would not have to pay stadium rental fees for its home fixtures during the ongoing ISL season.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of West Bengal, Chief Minister Shri Suvendu Adhikari and Sports Minister Dr Indranil Khan for waiving the rental fees for the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK),” East Bengal said in its statement.

The club also thanked the state government for its continued support towards football.
