Nathan Fielder Stares Down Elizabeth Holmes in You Can See Everything Trailer: Watch

A guy who plays a sociopath on TV meets the real thing in the new trailer for You Can See Everything, the new documentary from Nathan Fielder about Theranos founder and convicted scam artist Elizabeth Holmes. The film arrives in theaters October 16th.

Fielder’s documentary crew embedded with Holmes and her husband in the weeks before she began serving a prison sentence for wire fraud — a conviction she earned by lying to investors about her company, the former Silicon Valley darling Theranos. Filming would continue for another three years. The doc had a surprise premiere at Telluride this year, where critics raved about a late twist that Fielder has asked us not to spoil, as well as a surprisingly nuanced look at Holmes.

The trailer is fascinating and creepy. In one memorable moment, Holmes says, “It took me a really long time to be ok with letting someone see me cry,” then stares at Fielder with a blank mask of a face until a single tear rolls down her cheek. Check it out below.

The film comes from A24, and Fielder is joined by co-director Lance Oppenheim, who drew Errol Morris comparisons for his 2020 debut Some Kind of Heaven, and who is set to make his fictional debut this year with the scripted To Catch a Predator drama Primetime.
