Photos: Ahmed Helmy meets his wax double at Madame Tussauds in Dubai

Egyptian actor Ahmed Helmy celebrated the unveiling of his own wax figure at Madame Tussauds in Dubai, becoming the first Arab actor to be featured among the museum’s collection of stars.

He was joined at the celebration by his wife, Mona Zaki.

The museum houses between 60 and 70 highly detailed wax figures of international personalities from the worlds of entertainment, sports, politics, and fashion.
It marks the first expansion of the renowned museum into the Middle East since its opening in October 2021.

Helmy returns to cinema
Helmy will mark his return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus with the film “Hadouta,” (Story) set to be released in Egyptian cinemas on November 11.
Written by Ahmed Abdel-Rahman and directed by Mazen Ashraf, the film co-stars Amina Khalil, Maged al-Masry, Rahma Ahmed, Sherine, and Mohamed Abdel-Azim alongside Ahmed Helmy.
The plot of “Hadouta” revolves around a 40-year-old criminal who cannot recall where he has hidden a witness he kidnapped.
He turns to a hypnotherapist to recover the lost information. However to regain his memory, he must confront old enemies, past events – and most importantly face himself.
