Emmerdale confirms who has Jimmy's money – but the battle isn't over

Emmerdale has finally confirmed who has Jimmy King's money kickstarting a new round of drama for his loved ones. Jimmy's death earlier this year brought to the surface a whole heap of secrets that have rocked his widow, Nicola King, to her core.
Jimmy's ex-wife, Sadie King, returned to the village, claiming the pair had been having an affair for years behind Nicola's back, and that she was back to pay her respects. It was then revealed that Sadie had actually returned to try and find Jimmy's hidden £150,000 in cash that he received from selling the haulage company.

No one knows where the money is, however, least of all Nicola and their children, leaving her to believe not only was her beloved husband cheating on her, but has left their family penniless.
Tonight's (8 October) episode began with Nicola getting a call from Hotten Golf Club, confirming she is Mrs King and thanking the caller, saying she "didn't realise Jimmy was so popular".
She explained that a few members of the Golf Club were coming, and that she was still struggling to find the money he had stashed away.
On the other side of the cafe, Robert Sugden's ears pricked up at the news that Jimmy had left his family "penniless" while pocketing such a large amount of money.
Later, in the pub, while Jimmy's loved ones talked about the funeral, Manpreet recognised a key that Carl found among his dad's belongings as the one for Jimmy's locker at the Golf Club.

Nicola said that she needed to check the locker, theorising that Jimmy "was an idiot" and probably would keep such a large amount of money in a public place. This sparked a race against time as Sadie King grabbed Robert to rush to where they thought Jimmy's money was stashed to take it for themselves.
In the locker room, Sadie and Robert were forced to hide when Nicola and Rodney Blackstock walked in, and almost got caught red-handed when Nicola overhears Sadie making a crude remark.
Both parties were left disappointed that the locker is empty, but that doesn't mean the money is still lost, as the episode revealed.
Later, we found out that Robert had the money all along, with the soap showing him at home with Jimmy's golf clubs and the golf bag where he found the cash. Robert had worked out where the cash was and took the bag from the locker before anyone else had thought to look there.

He clearly has no intention of sharing it with Sadie as part of their deal, or giving it to Nicola to help the grieving family. So, what is he planning to do with it, and will he get caught?
The answer to the latter is: probably yes. At the end of tonight's episode, Sadie saw a woman from the Golf Club knocking at Nicola's door with some flowers.
Sadie said she would pass on the flowers as the family had already left for the evening, and the pair got chatting, with the woman saying she met Jimmy's 'nephew' at the Golf Club that morning when he had come to clear out his locker.
Sadie pressed further, asking what he looked like, and when the woman seemed to describe Robert, it dawned on her what he had done.
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
