Security guard in Bohol ignores injury, found dead the next day
PANGLAO, BOHOL, Philippines — A 36-year-old security guard was found dead inside a guardhouse at a construction site in Barangay Lourdes, Panglao, Bohol, on Tuesday morning, Nov. 3.
The victim was identified as Eulalio Abandingo Jr., a resident of Barangay Looc, Panglao.
Barangay Lourdes chairperson Eva Lorete received a call at around 7 a.m. informing her that a lifeless body had been discovered inside the guardhouse at a construction site in Purok 3.

Initial police investigation showed that the victim figured in a road accident on Monday night but did not seek medical attention and proceeded to report for duty.

On Tuesday morning, his co-workers went to check on him after noticing that it was already late. When he failed to respond, one of them checked the guardhouse and found him lying motionless.
His body was brought to a funeral parlor for proper disposition.
Police ruled out any foul play.
Police Captain Kentbel Ceasar Parcon, chief of the Panglao Municipal Police Station, clarified that the victim was not shot, contrary to reports circulating on social media. /cb
