After less than a year of waiting, Tulsa King is back and critics have weighed in on the Taylor Sheridan show's return.

The latest chapter of the hit crime series follows Sylvester Stallone's Dwight Manfredi as his efforts to take his crew in a legitimate direction prove troubling when those from his New York past, along with new power-hungry players, begin coming into Oklahoma in the hopes of taking over the empire they've worked hard to build. Even prior to the show's return, Paramount+ proved confident in the plans for Tulsa King's future, renewing it for season 5 ahead of season 4's premiere.

In the lead up to its October 16 premiere, reviews began rolling out for Tulsa King season 4, earning it an early Rotten Tomatoes critical score. With five reviews calculated at the time of writing, the Sheridan-produced crime thriller sits at an 80% approval rating on the review aggregate. While a positive score, it does break the show's four-year record of being the lowest rating for Tulsa King since its debut season earned a 79% "Certified Fresh" score on the platform.
