James Blunt has revealed he secretly plotted to try and keep his Celebrity Traitors co-star Hannah Fry in the game when she was left vulnerable for murder.

In the last episode of the BBC show, Hannah and Jerry Hall were the only contestants who could be murdered by the Traitors, after the rest of the Faithfuls received shields.

The singer, 52, has now unveiled that he made a move at the roundtable to try and keep Hannah safe, as he shared his secret strategy on his Instagram page.

During the roundtable, which ended on a cliffhanger, James said he was suspicious of Hannah and stated that the 'most obvious solution' is often truest.'

He said that if there was one murder and a recruitment, the logical thing to do would be to murder one threat to the traitors, Amol, and recruit a bigger threat, Hannah.

But he has now confirmed that Hannah's name was a red herring and he was actually in fact trying to save her from being murdered.

He moved the discussion on quickly after having planted the seed however and, in a comment on Instagram, he has confirmed this was part of a hidden strategy.

One commenter said: 'I'd like to think it's a tactic to keep her in the game. If her name is brought up the traitors are less likely to murder her.'

James confirmed that this was his plan, commenting: 'Bingo!'

While this didn't verify whether Hannah goes or not, fans did suggest James could land himself in hot water as boasting about his plot on social media may suggest that it was successful and Hannah remained in the show.

James isn't the only cast member talking about the show on social media, as Richard E Grant exchanged banter with Rob Beckett about his teeth in a new video.

Richard teased what may be his exit episode on Thursday after he threw the show into chaos with a major slip-up where he accidentally admitted 'I'm a traitor' leaving his co-stars in shock and confusion.

Referring to when he was quizzed by Rob, 40, whether he was a Traitor or not, Richard attempted to deflect by asking him 'have you got more teeth than a normal person?'

Now in a new light-hearted video, Richard reenacted the moment and asked: 'Do you have more teeth than a normal person?'

Rob replied: 'Richard do you have more forehead than a normal person?'

'I don't know what you possibly mean Rob,' insisted Richard as he stuck a yellow post it note on his forehead with 'Traitor' written in large letters.

The Saltburn star laughed as he held his hand to his forehead and shook his head as he teased what may be his exit episode by sharing a second note that read: 'Traitors ep 3, BBC1 8pm Thursday.'

He captioned the video: 'Clearly, @robbeckettcomic & I are no longer on speaking terms!'

During Friday's episode, Celebrity Traitors fans were left howling as the comedian asked the actor to explain his 'bold strategy' after announcing he was a traitor.

Rob said: 'Both of us wanted to be Traitors, how did you feel when you found out, I felt there was a relief to chill, how did you feel because you really wanted to be?'

Richard replied: 'I know, the slates will be 15 people [with my name on it]'

'There be will an expectation for you to explain your workings as it's a bold strategy from a faithful,' added Rob.

Attempting to deflect the conversation, the Saltburn star replied: 'Do you have more teeth than a normal person?'

Fans were left in hysterics over Richard's 'iconic' deflection tactics, they wrote on X: 'Richard is hilarious lmfao like he's so obvious??? I was already laughing and then he asked Rob if he has more teeth than a normal person, omg im dying;

'What a deflection by Richard there… “Do you have more teeth than a normal person?”;

'When Richard asks Rob ‘Do you have more teeth than a normal person?’ is single handedly the funniest thing I have ever heard;

‘Do you have more teeth than a normal person’? Absolutely iconic Richard E Grant to Rob Beckett;

'I'm still laughing at Richard saying to Rob about his teeth; Do you have more teeth than a normal person?’ keep richard e grant in here FOREVER PLS;

'Richard asking if he has more teeth then a normal person he didn’t even answer the question.'

In a video, Richard asked again as Rob replied: 'Do you have more forehead than a normal person?' 'I don't know what you mean Rob', said Richard as he put a traitor sticker on his head

Elsewhere fans were left furious over the 'ridiculous' cliffhanger ending on Friday night as the hit BBC show abruptly ended mid round table.

The tension rose between the celebrities at the first round table of the series as they debated whether Richard is faithful or not.

And just as the celebrities were going back and forth on Richard's innocence, Claudia announced: 'Players the time for talk is over,' and the second episode surprisingly ended.

Fans were left shocked by the 'massive cliffhanger' as viewers didn't even get the chance to see the stars write who they believe is a traitor on their chalk boards and will now have to wait six days for the next episode.

They wrote: 'Yeah not a fan of these cliffhanger endings on the traitors. Since when did they end the show before a round table vote? Ridiculous. #traitors;

'The one thing about the traitors is it’s going to end on a cliffhanger every single time and make you shout at the tv because now we have to wait till next flipping thursday;

'Why we breaking format? Seen about 20 seasons of The Traitors, breakfast, round table, murder cliffhanger. Why we going to cliffhanger at the round table. Makes the vote off crazy obvious;

'A CLIFFHANGER!?; Celeb traitors and its addiction to ending abruptly.
