Yami savours intimate family celebration; sister shares vlog

Yami Gautam celebrated a major career milestone after winning her first National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the political action thriller 'Article 370' at the 72nd National Film Awards.

Her husband, filmmaker Aditya Dhar, also received a National Award as a producer of the film.While photos of Yami and Aditya celebrating the achievement have been doing the rounds online, it was the actress' intimate family celebration that offered a glimpse into the emotional significance of the win. Yami's sister, Surilie Gautam, shared a YouTube vlog documenting the family's reaction, complete with flowers, hugs, laughter and Yami's favourite besan ka halwa.

In the vlog, Surilie can be seen entering the house carrying flowers and a cup of besan ka halwa for Yami. She immediately walked up to her sister, wished her "Congratulations" and pulled her into a warm hug.The celebration soon turned playful as Surilie picked Yami up and spun her around, leaving the actress laughing. The sisters then shared an emotional moment as they took in the significance of the achievement.Yami's father also joined the celebrations with a bouquet of flowers.

After handing it to his daughter, he hugged her and kissed her on the forehead. Yami responded with a tight embrace and said, "Thank you, Papa." Her mother then joined the family moment, hugging Yami as they celebrated her National Award together.The celebrations continued with the family feeding Yami her favourite besan ka halwa, adding a personal touch to what was already an emotional milestone for the actress.
