The creators have decided to re-release the film with additional footage in preparation for the December release of Avengers: Doomsday. The advance booking has commenced for the film. Avengers Endgame: Encore All Set For A Grand Start In India
The Marvel film is scheduled for release in theatres on September 25. What makes it special is the extra footage and an exclusive post-credits scene that give a sneak peek at Avengers: Doomsday. Given Marvel’s strong, loyal fan base in India, the film is all set for a big start. The advance booking for the film started on Thursday, September 10. This is 15 days ahead of its theatrical release.
In just 5 days, the film has reportedly sold 45,000 tickets. The film is still 10 days away from release, and collections are only going to get stronger as more screens open up. Interestingly, the film’s tickets are selling much more than even many new releases in India. Avengers: Endgame is a re-release with just a few minutes of extra footage.

Can It Surpass Baahubali?
The Indian box office has seen some great re-release trends in recent years. Some films have outperformed their original box-office performance upon their second run in theatres. Currently, the Day 1 record for re-releases is held by Baahubali: The Epic. It is a compilation of both Baahubali films. It earned around 9 crore on its opening day in India. The #2 spot is held by Pawan Kalyan’s Gabbar Singh, which collected 5 crore. Thalapathy Vijay‘s Ghilli, Mahesh Babu’s Murari, and Sanam Teri Kasam all earned around 4 crore on opening day.
Going by the current pace of advance collections for Avengers, it will definitely surpass Ghilli, Murari, and Sanam Teri Kasam. It can also surpass Gabbar Singh. But all eyes are on whether the film can compete with Baahubali. For that, the film will have to bring in a double-digit opening day. It will then become the first re-release film to score a double-digit opening day in India.
Considering the success of Spider-Man: Brand New Day in India and the anticipation for Doomsday, it will not be surprising to witness Encore break all re-release records. The film reportedly has around 2 minutes of new footage that will connect to Doomsday.
