"I Don’t Like That Person": Denims Refuses To Sympathize With Hila Klein Amid Ethan Klein Affair Allegations

Denims says she has no sympathy for Hila Klein, and she said it on an October 23 livestream after Hila accused her husband, Ethan Klein, of an affair lasting more than six months. The political commentator tied her answer to Hila's past service in the Israel Defense Forces and her views on Palestinians. “Why would I have sympathy for an ex-IDF member who bragged about going on a fun raid to terrorize Palestinian people?” Denims said. The comments came as the H3 Podcast crew announced it would no longer work with Ethan, while Hila said she was navigating separation and co-parenting publicly.

Denims Explains Her Refusal to Sympathize With Hila Klein by Citing Her Political Views

The livestream conversation drifted to whether Hila deserved sympathy over the allegations, and Denims pushed back on that. Her point was that bad things happening to someone she doesn't like wouldn't change her view of them, and she used hypothetical about Donald Trump to make it.

“It would be like if Trump got cheated on, and it's like, ‘Wow! So no sympathy for that man?'” Denims said. “No, I don't like that person; them being cheated on. A bad thing happening to them doesn't make me magically care about that person.”

So her comments stayed on her political objections to Hila. She wasn't disputing the personal impact Hila described.

On Instagram on October 23, Hila wrote that Ethan had eventually admitted to an affair lasting more than six months. She said she had raised concerns, got dismissive answers and heard changing explanations before he acknowledged the alleged relationship. 

Hila described the betrayal as “immeasurable” and said she was trying to manage separation, co-parenting and heartbreak. 

H3 Podcast Crew Cuts Ties With Ethan Klein After Hila's Affair Allegations

The H3 Podcast crew put out its own statement, saying it was “shocked, angry, and heartbroken” and wouldn't keep working with Ethan or profit from his involvement. 

“We stand with Hila and will support her every step of the way,” the team wrote, though it said it did not yet know what decision meant for the show's future. The podcast had also announced an indefinite hiatus.

Ethan later asked people to respect his family's privacy and not contact relatives looking for comments. 

He said his family had “nothing to do with this” and shared the public's “outrage and disappointment,” without addressing the allegations directly in any detail.
