The Multimedia Group has secured major awards at the 30th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards, with its journalists and programmes earning recognition for excellence in journalism and broadcasting.

The group’s biggest honour went to Phillip Osei, who was named Journalist of the Year, the ceremony's top individual award.

Ace sports journalist and boxing commentator Nathaniel Attoh also won Best in Sports Reporting for his contribution to sports journalism.

Clinton Yeboah of Luv FM, a subsidiary of the Multimedia Group in the Ashanti Region, was named Best in Radio Features for his compelling storytelling and impactful journalism.

The group’s Asempa FM programme, Ekosiisen, also won Best Radio Programme (Ghanaian Language), adding to the organisation’s impressive haul.

JoyNews’ Ahafo Regional Correspondent, Emmanuel Adu Gyamfi, won the Best in Domestic Tourism Reporting award at the 30th GJA Awards.

The awards ceremony, held under the theme “Celebrating Excellence: Advancing Media Freedom, Combating Hate Speech in the Digital Age,” recognised journalists and media practitioners whose work continues to shape the media landscape and contribute to national development.

The four awards highlight the talent and professional commitment of journalists across the Multimedia Group’s platforms, as well as its continued contribution to informing and educating audiences through quality journalism.

The recognition also reinforces the importance of responsible reporting, media freedom, and impactful storytelling in an evolving media landscape.
