Kayce may have finally found Monica's replacement in Marshals season 2.

In a few days, CBS's fall 2026 lineup will start to premiere, and it only makes sense that it is kicked off by network TV's most-watched show. With that comes ramping up the marketing efforts for the upcoming shows. Not that Marshals is in dire need to increase its viewership, considering its ratings during the 2025-2026 TV cycle, but CBS is still making sure that people know that Luke Grimes' Kayce Dutton and his new US Marshals team are coming back.

Because Marshals season 1 debuted late in the cycle, it only had 13 episodes. Its events were launched by another Dutton tragedy — the unexpected death of Monica not long after Yellowstone ended on Paramoun Network. This set up Kayce's grieving throughout the spinoff sequel's first 13 episodes. Now, however, that Marshals is set for its sophomore run, Tate's father may be ready to seriously consider dating again, and it seems like that will actually be the case when the show comes back.

CBS has released a new trailer for Marshals season 2, which effectively crowns Kayce's new love interest — Andrea. The short clip is a mix of action-packed scenes and character-focused moments, which may be an indication of what's to come. However, arguably the biggest takeaway from the trailer is Andrea's late visit at East Camp and, instead of being annoyed or reluctant, Kayce appears to look happy. Watch the video below:

Another takeaway from the video is Cal and Belle sharing a night together. Marshals season 1 planted plot seeds regarding their budding romance, but other than a kiss that could have been chalked to the situation, the show kept them separated, primarily because she is married with a family. The aforementioned video shows the pair in bed, indicating that they have crossed a line that they won't be able to come back to.

Going back to Kayce, there isn't any trace of Dolly anywhere, however. When Ellyn Jameson was introduced in Marshals season 1, it seemed like she was being positioned to be Monica's replacement. Granted that it never really felt like Kayce was that interested in her — a change from his welcoming demeanor with Andrea in the clip. Considering how her father, Tom Weaver, crossed Kayce and kidnapped Tate in "Wolves at the Door," it would make sense if Kayce is not keen on spending more time with her once he gets his son back. If Marshals is hiding her, however, and John III's youngest decides to continue pursuing a romantic relationship with her after Tate's abduction, it will be an interesting dynamic with Andrea also involved.

The Marshals season 2 trailer highlighting two romances is a curious decision. It's possible that it's an indication that the Yellowstone sequel spinoff is looking to lean on this more personal aspect of its storytelling, which would balance the brutal cases and action sequences that the project tackles every week. As a network TV series, however, it will be interesting to see how far they can extend these romances.
