Arsenal defender Ezri Konsa and Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott withdrew from England’s squad on Monday ahead of the team’s Nations League match against the Czechia.

England didn’t give a reason why the two players had to return to their clubs for further assessment. The BBC reported that Scott, who made his first start for England in the 7-0 win over Croatia on Saturday, has a thigh injury and could be out for up to eight weeks.

England coach Thomas Tuchel hasn’t called up any players as replacements. Tuchel has already seen Tino Livramento, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, Declan Rice and Nico O’Reilly pull out of the squad since his initial selection.

England has lost to Spain and beaten the Czechia and Croatia so far in this international break that concludes with the return match against the Czechs on Tuesday.
